Organized by I care bureau, a program named Lalilatul Jamilah has been held on 19 until 23 Nov 2012. Consisting of 4 subsprograms, these events have been participated by pharmacy student as well IIUM students from other courses. This program was conducted to instill the Islamic culture among the students
Kulliyah of Pharmacy, IIUM – Exactly on 10th of November 2012, or popularly known as a nice date sequence which is 10/11/12, Kulliyah of Pharmacy have conducted Mentor Mentee Day 2012. This one day event is conducted by RX10 organising committee, managed mainly by Mohammad Firdaus bin Wan Hassan. This Mentor Mentee day was held at indoor sports complex, Mahallah Maimunah, IIUM Kuantan.
The event was participated by all the members of Kulliyyah of Pharmacy, no matter students, lecturers, staffs, head of department, dean, deputy dean, and everyone. What a friendly program right? This event is mainly held to tighten the ukhhuwah and bond between the KOP students and all the staffs and lecturers.
Mentor Mentee day is also a platform for us to know each other better between all the mentors and mentees. This event was about cooking competition, where 9 groups has been formed. The groups are Yellow1, Yellow2, Yellow3, Violet1, Violet2, Violet3, Red1, Red2, and Red3. Red house will be competing the cooking recipe between Red 123, Yellow with yellow123, and Violet with violet 123. There is also OVERALL WINNER and also awards for RX MASTERCHEF.
The cooking competition was so happening, till everyone who came to this event have praised, admire, and compliment of the success of this event. Everyone was so happy during the event, and enjoy a lot in meeting new friends from different batch and meeting new lecturers. The program also taught the students and lecturers the skills of cooking, and we can conclude, THE PROGRAM WAS A BIG SUCCESS!.
Mentor Mentee Day started from 7.30 am, and ended around 2.30. Everybody had their lovely lunch, cooked specially by themselves! Wow! Not to forget, there was also booth of Big Apple and RotiBoy, as the Sponsorship Bureau program to raise funds in sponsoring this event. Thank you to all of you who have participated this program, and hopefully that the memory that we had on this 10/11/12, remains in our mind forever. Never forget, 10/11/12. Is our glamorous Mentor Mentee Day!!:D

On 3rd November 2012, IPhArace is held under the supervision of Muhammad Ashwad B. Muhd Zin as the Project Manager of this annual program. An event that is mainly orgainised by IphA’s Sports and Recreational Bureau has a total participation of 16 groups joined by multibatch pharmacy student of IIUM Kuantan. Prior to this program, it is about teamwork in accordance with mental and physical challenge which is pre-requisite factor to be this time champion. “Prove That You Are Blusterous Combatants” a motto that instilled enthusiasm and be a cause of determination among the group members along this program is running. This unforgetable event was officiated by Assc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Haniki, on behalf of the Dean of KOP, Dr. Muhammad B. Awang who had other commitment.
The program started approximately on 8 a.m which include registration of the contestants, breakfast and the launching of the event. A brief explaination on the event; There were 9 checkpoints representing 9 buildings that the participants ought to go and they need to complete all the task given by the committees responsible at that particular checkpoint. A task is completed; a sticker signed by committee is given as proof. Thanks to all committees who are directly or indirectly involed in making this event a success.
After 2 years without community service, IIUM Pharmacy Students Society came again with Community and Health Services for Aborigines (COHSAS 2012). It was conducted on 20th to 22nd of October 2012 at Batu 14, Gambang, Kuantan which involved pharmacy students of 2nd year to the final year. Throughout this program, students were enable to develop and apply all the skill and theory that they gained in the classes or practicals instead of taking the opportunity to conduct health screening slot for the aborigines. The main objectives for this program were to inculcate the spirits of responsibilities and caring Muslims among students towards society, to share and spread the basic knowledge in Islam with the community, and to inculcate the awareness of health maintenance among the aborigines community.
The advisor of this 3-day program was Dr. Wan Azizi Bin Wan Sulaiman. During the program, the tentative was fully benefited with many social activities like giving donations and foods to the villagers, organizing telematch for the villagers and committees to build ukhwah, and the most important activities which are health screening slot and conveying the Dakwah through video presentation based on Islamic perspective. The purpose was to attract them to know more about the beauty of Islam since most of them are not Malay nor Islam. The committees also conducted religious ceremony like congregational prayer, Qiyamullail, Tazkirah for Muslim villagers, and the most exciting program was cooking together or also known as “merewang” in Malay term.
Basically, the objectives of this program is said to be successfully been achieved. it is hoped that this charity event could be conducted again in the future since it is not only beneficial towards us, but also the society around us.
